- Remove shoes before you enter your home or use an entry mat to remove dirt from your shoes.
- Remove spills and stains promptly by first scraping food spill gently with a spoon or dull knife to remove as much as possible. Next, blot with a clean cloth; rubbing the spot may grind the stain in further and may cause the fibers to fuzz, permanently damaging your carpet. When cleaning a stain, make sure to work from the outside in. This keeps the stain from spreading.
- Use mild detergent if necessary. We recommend a clear, non-bleach laundry detergent; using cloudy detergent can leave a sticky residue. Use only 1/4 teaspoon of detergent to 32 ounces of water. Follow detergent cleaning with a clear water rinse and then blot dry as much as possible. For any stain removal, use a white cloth or paper towel for cleanup. If you clean a spot on your carpet with soap, be careful to remove all soap residues. This residue may attract even more dirt, and spots could become worse than before.
- Rearrange furniture often. This helps minimize the gray area in your high-traffic areas, such as in front of the sofa. Once a gray area exists it is more difficult to clean.
- Vacuum carpets a minimum of 2–3 times per week. Use a quality vacuum cleaner to remove surface dirt.

- The Cleaning Binder serves as a tracking system to help every team member know what needs to be done. We leave this binder in your home and check off maintenance lists of the things we did that day. Deep cleaning is done on a rotational basis as needed. At a glance, the housekeepers know exactly what has been done in the past, what areas need to be cleaned, what concerns you have had before and where to focus their energies for the day. FAQ's
Do you provide supplies or do I need to provide them?
We provide all supplies needed including vacuums, mops, and cleaners. If you have specific cleaning supplies or equipment that you like used, we can do that as well. Just leave them out with specific notes on where and what you want cleaned.
How many housekeepers do you send?
It depends on the job. Often we send one or two housekeepers for maintenance cleaning, but often for deep cleans there are 3 or more.
Will I always have the same housekeeper?
Often times, we will be able to send the same housekeeper to your home if you would prefer. Our only request is that we could have a couple different housekeepers get to know your home in cases of illness, vacations, holidays, or other unexpected events. Having the same housekeeper may not be something important to you and that is an even easier for us.
How flexible is your schedule if I want to change days, times?
We try as hard as we can to accommodate your schedule. Usually if given enough time, we will be able to switch times and dates for you with very little inconvenience.
How much lead time do you need to fill a request?
It really depends on the week and season. We are much busier before holidays, but we really try to have enough staff on hand to handle last minute requests. The more time you can give us, the easier it is to get you in on a certain day and time.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only). We can also set up an automatic withdrawal to be taken out of your bank account each month on a specified date. You can leave check or cash in the Tracking Binder for the housekeepers to pick up at the time of the service.
What about special requests?
We are happy to accommodate special requests or extra deep cleaning services. We may need extra time to fill these requests if they are not part of your regular maintenance program. Give us a call and we can arrange time to fill those needs on your regularly scheduled cleaning day.

How does it work?
The day of your regularly scheduled trash pick-up service, we will clean, sanitize (killing 99% of any bacteria in your can), and deodorize your trash can to keep it shining like new and smelling as fresh as spring time! Wouldn’t that be a switch? Just leave your trash can out by the curb or up by the garage until after 7pm the day of your normal trash pick-up and we will come around and clean and disinfect your can. After we clean the garbage can, we will then place it back where we found it…simple as that.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Debit or Credit Cards only, except with yearly service agreements. Due to the large volume of clients and because we are generally at your home when you are not there, the only form of payment we accept for trash can cleaning is VISA or MASTERCARD. Unless you would like to pay for a one year contract all at once, then we can invoice you for the full amount. We can also set you up on a monthly payment plan on a specified day of the month to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account.
Do I have to clean all my Trash Cans?
We will clean as many or as few as you would like. We offer monthly, quarterly, and one-time cleanings for 1 or more trash cans (save BIG with multiple trash cans). Just let us know which can you would like to have cleaned and we can accommodate your needs. If you have multiple trash cans, we would be happy to clean those as well. Just leave out the cans you want cleaned and we can take care of the rest.
What about HOA restrictions?
If it is not possible to leave your trash can by the curb until 7pm, then move it up by the garage or side of the house in a visible location, with relatively easy access to the can without having to walk inside any enclosures. Then, we will clean your can and return it to the same location. We would love recommendations to HOA’s!! We can contract with them directly to give your whole neighborhood a community discount.
What if I need to reschedule my trash can cleaning day due to being out of town, etc?
Call us and we will normally be able to reschedule your trash can cleaning for another time in the same month. If we can’t get you rescheduled for a different time that month, we will automatically extend the time on your yearly service agreement, one more month.
How do I know when my trash cans have been cleaned?
In addition to your trash can looking and smelling great, we also will leave an easily removable “Can is Clean” flyer on the trash can handle. This also gives you great offers and discounts on all our other professional cleaning services while letting you know that the “Can Is Clean”.

Deck Sealing, Staining, and Cleaning Process:
There are a few things Whole Home Cleaners can do to help you maintain and protect your wood and bring it back to its original color and luster: If your wood already has stain or paint on it and you’re happy with the current color and finish, a regular maintenance cleaning might be what you need. This is the least expensive service, and it will help not only to keep the deck looking like new, but will also prevent the growth of new mold, which in time would deteriorate the wood’s finish.
If your finish has already deteriorated past the point of maintenance cleaning, then we recommend having WHC strip the old finish off and refinish your deck with a minimum of two coats on the wood surface. We prefer using only tinted sealers and stains that offer UV protection for your wood; clear sealers do not offer any UV protection. Protect your wood from the elements after cleaning by sealing it. We use oil-based professional wood sealers to protect and beautify your wood. These products, including ReadySeal, Cabot’s, Wolman’s, and Sikkens, are only available by special order or at a professional paint store and are higher quality than any wood sealers found at a local hardware store.

First, we start by cleaning the windows on the inside of the home. While we are inside, we either take off our shoes or wear shoe covers, then we scrub and vacuum the window tracts. We always use biodegradable soap that is completely safe, even on window tinting. To protect your furniture and flooring and ensure that water is not spilled in your home, we use a drop-canvas to cover all working areas. After detailing the windows on the inside, we move to the outside.
On the outside, we start by removing all the screens on the outside of the house. Then, we hand wash and dry the screens first, so they are ready to reinstall when the exterior windows are clean. While cleaning the exterior windows, we wash the window frames first; then clean the glass. If we find paint overspray, debris, or bug marks, we are sure to take those off, helping to make your windows look new again.
